Who is this Betty?

After leaving a career in teaching to raise my boys, I kept searching and searching for my creative outlet. Little did I know, it would appear before my eyes while doing something I love every day—riding my bike.

After the birth of our third child, my husband surprised me with my first cruiser bike. Of course, I had to have a basket! Living in sunny Colorado, I can ride my bike everywhere—to the store, to school, to the market, to the park. I repeatedly encountered the same problem—smaller things kept falling out of my basket! So, out of necessity, I finally decided to make a stylish and sturdy basket liner that added a little flair to my bike, but more importantly could double as a bag to carry all of our “stuff.”

Shortly thereafter, I was bombarded with requests from friends and family to make one for them. And thus, Betty Basket Liners was born, now my fourth child! Here I am, embarking on this journey to provide hip, designer basket liners that are eco-friendly and functional.
